About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Moving past the "I play guitar badly" phase

ABOUT ME

I'm a fun loving, easy going, friendly guy struck with a serious case of wanderlust. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and attend the University of California Santa Barbara where I enjoy long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, and the occasional house party. I study Business/Economics and Global Studies; who knows what I'll do with either. Hopefully I'll do some good for someone.

PHILOSOPHY

Live a life free of expectations and try to see the best in everyone and everything. Always recognize that there are two sides to every situation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted and surfed with a few surfers while I was living in Europe and now I try to organize local activities in the Santa Barbara area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Nothing short of fantastic! I've met so many amazing people and seen some utterly jaw dropping things thanks to Couch Surfing.

Interests

Politics, economics, world affairs, people, history, whatever twists my brain. Now and again I love a good game of soccer or lacrosse though I'm no skilled at either.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy good movies, particularly of the independent/international variety. Recently I've gotten really into documentaries. Good books are always high on my list and I am constantly looking for a new recommendation. I'll read anything from sci-fi to political diatribe as long as it comes with a good recommendation. I listen to all kinds of music but consider myself a rudeboy at heart. I have a functioning knowledge of how to play guitar and piano and enjoy singing and writing music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I sang with my choir in a a Moscow cathedral in 2006. It's hard to imagine the power of the human voice until you hear it echoing through the chambers of a massive church.

Teach, Learn, Share

Never stop listening, you may learn something new.
