ABOUT ME

I live by the quote "The core of man's soul comes from new experiences." I love good food, good friends and meeting new people. I spent many years of my life backpacking, then cycle touring around the world. I started and ran a nonprofit in Guatemala for 5 years and three of those we facilitated a large art festival for the community. I recently started a business that endeavors to help people live more adventurously and find their personal "Kwest." I love to gather and tell stories so I can someday be that old man that everybody loves to listen to.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS has given me a whole new outlook on humanity. I first thought it to be a way to help me travel when my financial situation was questionable. I quickly found out it's not about the roof but more so about the people under the roof. Human connection is by far my favorite part of travel and CS motivates and creates incredible exchanges between people from all over the world. It can pull the blindfold off of people that live in fear of their next-door neighbors or people from countries they don't understand. How do I participate? I engulf myself in the beauty of humans by hosting and surfing when the time is right :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I've hosted more than I've surfed every, and I mean every experience has been incredible and enlightening. I love showing people what time and experience have shown me about my home. I also love it when people show me the REAL place they live. Not what you can find in a guide book... what you can find in their genuine love (or distaste) for their home.

Lately, I've been enjoying the beat writers of the 1940s and Rumi... RUMI ALL DAY!
The Alchemist and Into The Wild are two of my favorite books.
I love any music (produced or not) that is made by someone with passion and talent!
My taste in music changes so much that it would be a part-time job just updating this section.

I love speaking, hearing, practicing Spanish. Quieres Charlar? Also, I want to see the world as others do, and give my perspective also. Take me into your world, show me your life and I will gladly exchange the favor.
I know some Yoga and am always interested in learning more and sharing what I know. I love to tell stories and hear stories. Most of all I like to make meals and share them with CS'rs. LET'S EAT, DRINK and BE MARRY FOR TOMORROW WE WANDER!
