Love, love, love and a whole lot of fun. And being a terrific friend, too.
I moved back to the East Bay a year ago and am moving to S.F. very soon.
I am an artist and have been told that I "care very much for people". I love learning new things about people, places and things, as well as sharing what I think I know about life.
Basic golden rule. What you put out is what you get back. Respect other people and remember that we have the common goal to take care of one another, which is why we are all such individuals but have such similar stories. Find beauty in everything. Keep an open mind but stand firm on your values. Anything of worth is worth fighting for.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am extremely new but have already met some great people. Basically, anything I have the time and transportation for. It's true I'm a geek at heart, but if you see me at an event, chances are I'm cheerleading the hell out of it.
Yoga, snowboarding, wall climbing (literally and figuritively), reading anything I can get my hands on. Frisbee golf and climbing trees. Painting, drawing, singing and dancing. Healing arts, preventative health, alternative wellness. I LOVE to dance! I love food, too. Learning new things about culture, language, history.
- rock climbing
Music, Movies, and Books
House of Leaves, Only Revolutions
Calvin and Hobbes, biographies. Yoga stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to the Louvre. It was amazing and huge and I was interested in how these ancient artists did things like plate a life-size sculpture's toes with gold.
Honestly, the amazing things aren't grand places I've been, but moments in time with amazing people. Little things like playing pool in Texas and swimming in twelve feet of powder all alone at the top of Grand Targhee in Wyoming. One of my favorite memories in Utah is eating with Vivianne and Blake at a vegan restaurant and walking around downtown every day.
Oh, and I used to converse with a Princess of Iran on a regular basis. She smokes like a chimney, and is an amazing teacher.
Teach, Learn, Share
Acrylic painting is a big hobby of mine. I would love to share ideas and techniques. I can play piano and flute and dance pretty well. If you would like to know about nutrition/health, alternative whatever or bad jokes- I am always developing that. My mad Mojito skills tend to smooth over those times when I calls 'em like I sees 'em.
