About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To balance a teaspoon on my nose
ABOUT ME
I usually enjoy life, or at least try my very hardest to. I'm pretty laid back and apparently have quite a likable, gentle personality. I like to stay pretty active and have dabbled in most sports over the years - my slightly aggressive competitive side has been known to make the odd appearance. I love the variety of life and would be up for any new experience that could be had.
I'm not big into the party scene. Staying out til the small hours, hitting the clubs whilst drinking yourself senseless would be the worst way to spend a Saturday night for me. Instead I enjoy a good day out and about doing something suitably active, then coming home to good company, good food, maybe a board game or pack of cards and whiling away the hours with good conversation and plenty of laughs!
I love to travel! Off the beaten track preferably. I get itchy feet before too long and love getting out there (usually by bike) and discovering more of the people and places of this world which intrigue me to no end.
I've moved around a lot over the past few years, but have finally settled in Guildford, just south of London, betraying my Scottish heritage and beginning a lifestyle of prep school teaching, at least for the next year.
PHILOSOPHY
"Don't take life too seriously, it's not permanent"
"Riches consist not in the extent of your possessions but in the fewness of your wants."
"If ever you think you're too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a mosquito"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My experience of couchsurfing so far has been minimal. I've never hosted and have only been hosted twice. Indirectly I've met a bunch of couchsurfers and love the variety of experience that can come from opening your life up to someone, if even for a short while.
Interests

Teach, Learn, Share
I can share with you all the weird and wonderful traditions and trademarks of the Scots... if you're interested. I can also teach you how to juggle - fire, knives, chainsaws... anything :)
