About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Bzzzzz

ABOUT ME

I grew up surrounded by people from a pulsating plethora of cultural backgrounds. I began my frequent escapes from the country at the age of 13, and I've been hooked on traveling ever since. I left home when I was 17, moved to Spain and then moved to Oregon a year and a half later. I studied Romance Languages and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Oregon, oh what a lovely time. I must be active and frolic in nature every once in a while, or I start to lose my brain. Seriously. I love running, biking, yoga, throwing pottery on the wheel, animales, creation, positive vibrations (maaan), laughter, appreciating the details. Whoa, I feel like I'm trying to score a date...

PHILOSOPHY

I live life for the minute everyday joys.
Drink water! A lot more than you think you need, you'll be amazed with the clarity that it lends you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted aplenty, not as much surfed.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have co-hosted extensively in the past. There were even a few that we hosted in Eugene, OR that moved here. yup, we are that good. I even met my delightfully wonderful man-friend through couch surfing! Yes it's true, I also have abundant experience in oozing with cheese...

Interests

I love smelling the fresh air, hearing the sounds and feeling the soft floor of nature under my feet. Honeybees = fascinating creatures, I am obsessed, I never knew before how different honeys can contrast with one another... I love vegetables, herbal tea, mushrooms, moss, trees, sunshine, thunderstorms, bike riding, shaking my booty, seeing others shake theirs, witnessing and feeling passion, laughing, learning, listening, creating, yoga and being in the company of amazing people. I'm into language, cultural nuances, delicious nutritious food, foliage and aves (birds- especially raptors.)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music! Mmm, amazing how sound waves add so much to the life experience.
I love books, books books books! The learning possibilities are endless. I love Tom Robbins for a good 'ol creative, entertaining read, especially Jitterbug Perfume. ABC and XYZ of Beekeeping = an amazing catch-all honeybee encyclopedia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every single day is an amazing experience. The intricacies of life are not appreciated nearly as much as they should be. Smiles, colors, beauty, smells, vibrations, vida.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking about honeybees, so be prepared for me to go on and on incessantly. Free dialogue, no strings, no fears, all the interest and intensity that one can muster. I love learning about different cultures, languages and people. Honestly, I just LOVE learning about anything that comes from someone who's passionate about whatever it is they're talking about.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Belize, Cambodia, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Italy, Laos, Mexico, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, United Kingdom, Vatican City State, Viet Nam
