ABOUT ME

I live in Boston, MA right now where I'm currently a member of City Year (a national service program where corps member such as I work with Boston youth).

I'm at the "crossroads" (to be super cheesy and cliche) of my life where I'll soon have to choose between going to college finally or staying at City Year.

I'm vegan! It's fairly new, but I certainly won't be offended if you would like to consume a bleeding steak while in my company.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosphy is to try to be as kind to others as possible. Some day it's hard... but I'm trying.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One time I had someone sleep on my couch. It was okay. I was a different person back then, and not so open to unusual lifestyles.

Now I've slept on a few other people's couches and it's pretty ballin! People are so ridiculously nice! Why is that? Regardless, it was lovely.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I enjoy reading. I think it's a delightful pastime and it's easier to pretend that it's perfectly okay to waste a whole day reading than it is to watch tv all day. I mainly read fiction because I like people more than I like facts, but lately I've been on a nonfiction streak while reading Animal Vegetable Miracle and In Defense of Food.

I also like music. I wonder if anyone ever says I hate music! Where I am determines the type of music I listen to. While in Portland and Seattle I only listed to Vetiver and Dntel and Broken Social Scene. Basically anything sad (bonus points for acoustic guitars and bearded lumberjack boys as the lead singers). I also really enjoy hip hop, which people always laugh about because I'm as white as you possibly get. Although I would really like to grow an afro, and if a genie ever came that is what I would wish for. And a lifetime supply of chocolate soy milk.

My new favorite thing in life is buying lunch for homeless people. It's the best way to spend $4.
