About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finish my studies and, well, OBVIOUSLY, spend as long as possible travelling the world. Then when i finish that, i'll travel the rest of the world provided my wife is a travel agent/air hostess. Yeh. Thats what i want!

ABOUT ME

I have been lucky enough to experience Breakdancing for the past 8 years, and since then my life has been filled with lovely rhythmic experiences. Drum and bass. Breakbeat. Electro. Minimal. Funk. Oh such lovely FUNK.

I also love photography which has slowly but progressively been taking up my free time when im not studying, sleeping, dancing, chilling on the beach, seeing my friends.

Cooking is a very important event in my daily life. Its not just a necessity, if not something which i cherish. Creative cooking is almost as good as going wild in a night club dancing to your favourite tunes. Here its going wild in your KITCHEN, with maybe some lovely music? and your favourite ingredients. Peppers, tomatoes, pine nuts (hmmmm), cucumber, AVOCAAADO, onions. GAAARLIC. You get me.

PHILOSOPHY

Recently i've realised that, as everyone says, life is what you make of it.

I try and absorb everything going on around me, the wild life, the people, the sensation my hands get when touching the grass im sitting on and thinking "i wonder if the comfort i get from feeling the grass is affecting my mood and hence making my feelings stronger for this memory".

Im a scientist. I like to analyse things. And although many things are best left un-analysed and instead left in the hands of your instincts, leaving such situations un-analysed is in a way analytical. You are deciding not to analyse it. Which is scrutinizing it.

This might not make too much sense, because it is hard to describe personal philosophies. Much of it is a feeling. And you might need certain situations to help you explain it. Without ever getting to the essence of it.

However i basically think many people are not appreciative of the life they have. They are too concerned with what other people do and have. My mum always told me that there will always be someone that will have more money, more material possesions, a better CONSOLE! haha, more luck, etc that you. Dont be concerned about what other people have or do, be happy for them and appreciate what YOU have. Because then your feelings, psyche and general well-being will become more balanced and it will form a stable structure allowing you to begin feeling even better about yourself.

I also think that the more things you enjoy (in particular musical tastes because there is so much out there or food tastes) the more sensations you will feel. These varied sensations will allow you to more appropriately distinguish between one sensation and the next and will most probably allow you to appreciate that feeling more because it is more precise. Not only that but its as if more of your 'buttons' will be pushed. The ones for thai food. for nouvelle cuisine. for electro. for folk. for classical music. This will also affect your inspirations which for me are very important. Because i will be differently inspired in my dancing. And hence make it BETTER!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled around Thailand with a friend. It was an incredible experience, first of MANY hopefully.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach breakdancing!
I am also tutoring in certain biochemical subjects for my postgraduate.

I would like to learn as many forms of dancing as possible. This includes styles. Going out to an electro night in Paris with a couchsurfer and observing how THEY feel the music. I can be inspired.

Meeting other people from around the world allows you to discover parts of your personality that you might not know yet. So it is a valuable experience no matter what you do. Even if you stay at someones house on the other side of the world who only likes to read tv magazines. You'll be extremely bored for awhile but it'll force you to encourage them, or to venture out on your own. And at the end of the day you'll be happy they they were boring, because if not you would not have had the fun you had out on your own! Haha.
