About Me

ABOUT ME

I guess I'm a nice and friendly person, at least I'm trying my best! I love being among friends; just to chat, laugh and drink, end up in more serious conversations, or just dance the night away.

PHILOSOPHY

I'd like to let the great Leonard Cohen speak (or rather sing) for me: "Ring the bells, that still can ring / forget your perfect offerings / there is a crack in everything / that's how the light get's in".

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to get to know different places and people, to learn, grow and gain new perspectives: Couchsurfing seems a good way to reach that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I've been on this Couchsurfing thing for pretty long, I haven't done much with it since, because I didn't have the opportunity or the time.

Interests

I love music, dancing, reading, being outside (on the beach, in the forest, in the mountains...), and having a good time with other people.

Music, Movies & Books

My musical heroes are Neil Young, Patti Smith and Leonard Cohen, but I also love techno and minimal music, espescially for dancing. Some of my favourite movies are Pan's Labyrinth, Amélie, Dancer in the Dark, Il Meglio Gioventu, Das Weiße Band and Biutiful. I really like reading, although sometimes I have to force myself to start with it. Some books that I read with great pleasure: On The Road - Jack Kerouac, Catcher In The Rye - J.D. Salinger, Anna Karenina - Tolstoi, The Brothers Karamazov - Dostojewski, The Crimson Petal And The White - Michel Faber, Tipping The Velvet - Sarah Waters, Brave New World - Aldous Huxley, Just Kids - Patti Smith.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

One of the most amazing experiences I've had in my life was going to a gig in London of this group called Lamb, which I totally loved at that time. I went there on my own, 17 years old, by plane (though I'd never taken one before) to meet a bunch of people from all over Europe that I only knew from the Lamb forum. Those 48 hours in London were probably the most intensive and exciting of my life. The people I met back then still have a special place in my heart.

Countries I've Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I've Lived In
