About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world before we change it! And avoid routine by any means...

ABOUT ME

Well I'm just like you, two legs, two arms and seventeen eyes. I'm really lame at finding qualities for myself, you'd better figure them out by yourself!
Many people think I'm nice but I have a dark side too...that's what it takes to grow up watching Star Wars :).

PHILOSOPHY

Life is better when you turn it upside down!
I'm a strong supporter of the Absurd. I often lose my sense of logic to the benefit of absurd thoughts and situations and love the non-sense humor (like the Monty Pythons or Woody Allen's books). But I'm full of contradictions and can't prevent myself of trying to understand where we come from.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up and down the Pacific Coast (USA and CANADA), the best times of my life!

Interests

I'm dedicating my life to cinema and travel. I love meeting new people! I'm interested in any type of art form, and I have tried most of them, often without success!
I spend my time working in a movie theater and working on movies as director, cinematographer, production designer, music composer or writer...I like any job in the art of moviemaking!

Music, Movies, and Books

CINEMA:
From "Escape from New York" to "The Host", from "Bob Le Flambeur" to "The Saddest Music in the World", I love genre cinema or indepedent cinema.I don't despise any kind of films. I admire directors who want to change the Thing, who work with passion, who manage to be intelligent without being boring. Favorite directors are: Orson Welles, the Coen brothers, Jean-pierre Melville, P.T. Anderson, David Fincher, Stanley Kubrick, Sergio Leone, Bong Joon-Ho, Michel Gondry, Quentin Tarantino and so many others...
MUSIC:
The Velvet Underground & Nico, Sonic Youth, the Pixies. Three bands that changed my life.
I listen to pretty much anything except bad techno music, hardcore metal, stupid pop and commercial products.
BOOKS:
Philip K Dick's "Ubik", "Making movies" by Sidney Lumet, "Choke" by Chuck Palahniuk, "The House of Leaves" by Mark Z. Danielewski, "L'arrache-coeur" by Boris Vian, and I'm intersted in Carlos Castaneda's work....

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Paying a hundred dollars for a broken super 8 camera... And then fixing it with aluminium foil!

Going across a rain forest to end up on a beach on the west coast in Oregon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to cook my favorite dish: the "gratin de macaronis aux lardons" (sounds better in French, isn't it?)

Countries I’ve Visited
