ABOUT ME

We are both creative individuals. Susan expresses her creativity by cooking, crafting, making art. Matt is a graphic designer who plays guitar, makes screenprint posters, designs typefaces, and other graphics. Together, we came up with papergeist.com, a handmade book project. The books are made from recycled album covers and reused office paper. We have a graphic design company called Em En Space, specializing in motion graphics for broadcast and web. Matt is an assistant professor at University of South Florida. Susan designs swimming pools and would someday love to have a green catering company specializing in vegan. We are not 24 hour party people, not heavy drinkers. We live with 3 animals with interesting personalities. We love all animals, feed our neighborhood squirrels and birds. We live a chill drama-free life.
We are very liberal socially and politically. We have a strong desire for more civil liberties and less policing from our gov.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We try to host as much as possible, but sometimes, we will need a break from having guests. The guest room doubles as a music room when we have no guest, so sometimes it isn't possible to have people in there. Once every two months is fine, but it just depends. So no matter how much we have in common, sometimes we may have to pass on hosting. Please do not take it personally!

This wonderful when it happens, but we can let it be spontaneous...
I can teach you how to grow pineapple, rag rug techniques, yoga, a little about wine, or some healthy veggie recipes! I can make a mean curry lentil burger. Matt can teach you a thing or two about computer stuff, or how to revamp electronics and make guitar pedals out of a shortwave radio and a vacuum cleaner.
We're open to learning about your culture and country. I love learning new recipes and useful DIY projects.
