ABOUT ME

I spend a lot of time playing and listening to music of all styles, and I also teach guitar at a local high school. I like finding new places for a quiet beer and meeting new people. I'm easy going and enjoy a good laugh.

Interests

I enjoy films: Kubrick, Cohens, Lynch, basically anything that's a little different.

I also get sucked into the sports. The local games are Australian rules football in winter, cricket in summer and they are very addictive.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like improvised music including all the artists you'd expect (Miles, Coltrane, Monk etc) plus these guys:

Kurt Rosenwinkel, Wayne Shorter's quartet, Brian Blade, Keith Jarrett, Dave Douglas, Wayne Krantz, Mark Turner and really there's just too many to mention.

I also get into funkier stuff like Tower of Power, RH Factor, anything with Questlove Thompson etc.
