ABOUT ME

Having very recently graduated from college, I am in a period of flux in my life. This is my time to explore, learn, absorb, to relish in youth and beauty and an existance currently free of major responsibilities and obligations except to listen to my heart and keep my mind open.
I consider myself easy to talk to and get along with, very open minded, and incredibly interested in what the world has to offer. I love to cook for people and share skills and stories. Sometimes, when the world feels scary and cold, I can be rather awkward and quiet, but it's nothing that a good dance party can't fix.
I am a respectful, curious, and appreciative guest and a hospitable, open, and willing host.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a page in a coloring book waiting to be filled in. There's a huge box of crayons and no one says you have to stay in the lines.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far Ive made two couchsurfing friends, but havent yet had a chance to officially host. I think this is a wonderful idea that fits perfectly into my picture of the ideal world and I will GLADLY offer my couch and hospitality once I have one, hopefully by Dec. 2008.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far Ive surfed twice through this website, but I´ve definatley slept on a lot of couches. I`ve been told that i am a good guest--clean, low-impact, self-sufficient, appreciative. I`ve never left on a bad note, but I have been very sad to leave a lot of the great people I`ve met and stayed with. I hope to get the chance to return the favor someday.
Although I dont yet have a couch I`m looking forward to hosting because I love meeting interesting people and helping them enjoy my city.

Interests

I've found much fulfillment in activities like growing food, dancing, preparing delicious meals, swimming in rivers and oceans, riding horses, turning trash into art, playing piano, meeting interesting people, spinning poi, watching sun rises, passionate kissing, watching movies that make me think and feel, building things, singing, playing with babies, snuggling with cats, holding chickens, turning compost, learning languages, loving people, taking long walks in the forest...

Music, Movies, and Books

Depending on my mood, I like to listen to things from Bob Dylan to Micheal Jackson to Portishead to African beats. On the dance floor I enjoy electronica, tango, madonna, cubana...whatever makes me want to shake my booty. I like to read things that make me think, which doesn´t narrow it down much. I hate questions like this because my brain can´t seem to hold onto names and titles and things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The last amazing thing I did was treck in the Dolomites of Northern Italy for three days. My profile photo was taken at something like 2800 meters.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to teach you how to grow food and make compost. I want to learn more about farming and building things and playing music and spinning poi. I want to learn fun card games and good jokes and teach you how to make the most delicious breakfasts.
