ABOUT ME

Me? me. me! I'm silly silly with a serious core. I love to laugh and love to love. Traveling inspires me, whether it be through the mind, a conversation, or the world. I've often found work with marginalized youth, an arena that is challenging but ultimately satisfying. I often learn about myself through the reflection of others; thinking something along the lines of everyone is a mirror.

PHILOSOPHY

This varies from time to time, though there is always an undercurrent or live life to the fullest, appreciate the small things, do unto others, etc. Be Nice, but more importantly be true. I think the more genuine each individual is, the more authentic the rest of us can be. I like to think of people like wild elements of nature, so if you're a red thorn on a small wild fruit then don't be afraid to be that. The world will be better off for it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host people, when I am able. The last community style house I lived in saw a lot of couch surfer foot traffic. Most of the comments got posted on my cousin Jacob's page because we were sharing the house. We had many a discussion/outing/party with couch surfers, especially laid back types.. they seemed to last a little longer on our couches.

All positive. I think it's a great opportunity for the world's people to help each other in a fun and educational way.

Interessen

Lately I've been into circus arts. Always loved photography and documentary making. Love to read and write words, and let my mind wander while creating art. Collaboration! Sharing and manifesting dreams and the utter wonderment of the synchronicity that can be born of that.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Just finished The River Why. Some favorites: A Prayer for Owen Meany, Lust for Life, The Thornbirds, The Razor's Edge, Little House on the Prairie, The Giving Tree, Siddhartha, Love in the Time of Cholera and so many more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

Love movies! Making and watching. Stealing Beauty, Born into Brothels, Shawshank (who doesnt love this movie!), Batman Begins, Italian movies-- pane e tulipane, tutt l'amore che ce, il meglio gioventu, la vita e bella.

Music, I have recently been playing a lot. Dabbling in guitar piano and drums seems to satiate the itch to create music. Oh and singing. I love to sing. I like so much music to listen to, won't get into that here.

Tilled rice fields (aka start a mud flinging fight) with Buddhist farmers in Bhutan.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach video editing and photography to beginners. Intro to improv comedy, basic Italian. English. Friendship. I love to learn all things art related and as far as esoteric wisdom goes, bring it on.
