I enjoy life and all it has to offer. I believe we have the capacity to make our lives amazing and everything we want it to be. I believe in the good of people. I'm very outdoorsy and I love to travel backpacker's style. Traveling vs Vacationing? Traveling wins every time. I love eating, exploring new flavors and attempting new culinary conquests. I love, love, love to dance. I'd like to think I'm funny ;) I can't stand rude people. I love playing sports (Soccer all the way!). "Simply living, but never living simply"

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed a few times and every time it was incredible. I've also shown people around town when visiting from far away lands. It's my traveling away from traveling...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I LOVE couchsurfing. Everyone is so welcoming and totally understands why one would want to try it... as opposed to the "non-travelers" who think you're crazy for staying on a stranger's couch. I mean - what's so crazy about sleeping in a stranger's house several nights at a time? Ha

Interests

Soccer, dancing, eating, reading, laying out at the beach, running, acting goofy, laughing till my stomach hurts, hanging out with my friends and family, volunteering, etc. But you know what I REALLY love?? ... watermelon. MMMmmm.... That and feeling the ocean breeze run across my face on a warm and sunny day. Combine those two + my amazing friends/family and I'm in heaven.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned there are so many good people out there who purely want to help you enjoy a fantastic traveling experience - with wanting nothing in return. It is beautiful and incredibly inspiring. I've learned that many people will not understand why you do this, but as long as you love it and show others - you've done a great service for the world. I'd like to share that you can generally obtain a pretty good idea as to the type of couchsurfing host you're going to stay with through their profile. I'd go with people that have lots pictures, a detailed profile and great comments/recommendations... though you should always trust your gut. I'd like to teach people who I work with that it's ok to let go sometimes and just enjoy the life that is passing them by so quickly. I'd like to learn SO many more things out there. And traveling is one of the best ways to soak it all in.
