ABOUT ME

I'll try this -
My life basically involves of unwillingly getting up early on a weekday to get to lectures, looking forward to eating some food at the cafe during those lectures, coming back mentally drained by the end of the day, spending quality time with my flatmates, playing guitar, listening to music, cooking, knocking at the neighbour's door to see what they're up to, talking to my parents over the phone and telling them if I'm coming home this weekend or not, watching shows on the laptop, analysing the games that have occured on the day and where, which player could've done better to either prevent a goal, score a sixer, putt a birdie or convert the match point.

To elaborate just a little more, I'm doing medicine and I'm loving the course. I love learning.. I just do. I also love challenges and to be fair this course is providing me with enough.
Apart from that I LOVE music and sports.

The idea of travelling appeals to me very much! I travelled alone for the very first time when i was 18 and i fell in love with it..
Due to term times and everything I more or less get the time for one holiday per year and my aim so to see what others haven't seen in this world.

I do tend to write and write and write when I'm describing something.. which is exactly the case right now so I'll in fact stop write in the middle of...

PHILOSOPHY

God .. personal philosophy.. I have a few but nothing worth mentioning just yet. I guess i haven't reached that stage of wisdom where i can share my philosophies with others..
But i guess the one thing i've seen in life is that things have a funny way of working themselves out.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Let's just say that when I met my friends at uni, none of them knew about CS and now (a year later) 5 people have joined it and are genuine active users and 2 have actually hosted. I don't know.. maybe the numbers aren't big enough but I find that pretty impressive.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first host was this person in Milan - absolute legend!
He definitely set the bar way too high! :P
But generally I like people who're humble, down to earth, know how to enjoy but also respect other people's opinion, knowledgable about the world and different cultures and traditions.

Interests

Sports - I love sports.. I watch pretty much everything!! so yes that's one topic of conversation that will never fail!
ONE sport I'd like to start watching but unfortunately we don't get enough coverage of it is ice hockey :P .. I have a lot of canadian friends who cannot stop talking about it and I saw a couple games.. It's absolutely crazy! The ref's doing nothing when people are fighting.. if anything he's encouraging it. brilliant!
Music - Love most kind.. from Joshua radin to Jimmy eat world - who by the way have come up with their new album 'invented' and it releases on 28th sept! :D

I like going out but apart from "freshers week" and the occassional clubbing night, I usually prefer places where you can have a conversation..
So cafe's, pubs, meals..

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Blood Diamond, Bourne series, The Air I Breathe.. etc
I also tend to like dramatic movies like pursuit of happyness, seven pounds (will smith movies :P)
War based movies are brilliant as well..
and when it comes to Indian movies one of my favourite ones would be 'amu' .. the way it's shown and directed.. it's pure genius!
Music well literaly everything (from Joshua Radin to Jimmy Eat World to Keane), except hip hop and heavy metal. not a big fan of that.. And I do believe Elvis Presley was a genius, a legend.. The king! I mean have a look at his concerts.. he was born to be a showman.

I love to learn.. that's it! anything.. i love the idea of learning new things so you can get wiser.
teaching, well i can teach you anything i know. I'd love to teach you my mother language - hindi .. or even punjabi, or if you want to learn anything about india!
