CURRENT MISSION
Just retired from being a firefighter/paramedic after 28 years, loved the job and the people, but it was time for a new adventure. Ended up on Roatan for reasons we can talk about over beers when you come to visit. I´m a Dive Master and freelance at a few dive shop a couple days a week. Will also be planning trips that I have put off while working because when I go I'll want to stay for an extended period of time. Italy/Greese, Pacific Rim, Australia/New Zealand.....

ABOUT ME

Love meeting new people, going to places I haven't been, trying new foods. LOVE all kinds of adventures. As I sit reflecting on my life I realize how fortunate I am......but at the same time I realize life is short and there are sooo many people and places to experience.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe people have more simularities than differences... my philosophy would be to embrace the differences, learn about why they exist and be thankful that they do. How boring would life be if all of you were like me?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a few guest when I lived in Cleveland, Ohio. All good experiences!! Was a little difficult because I worked 24 hour shifts so was gone every third day. Now that I'll be semi-retired and in a destination location I hope to host more often.

Interests

Grew up playing all the typical organized sports and had a lot of fun doing them. Still enjoy them when I'm home, mostly volleyball (indoor and beach) and golf. When I travel I tend to seek out adventures. Anything in or under the ocean, underground, involving wildlife or a bit on the risky side seems to be what I gravitate towards. I always seem to include something along these lines when I pick places to vacation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have my name on 13 kids birth certificates under "delivering physician". In the state of Ohio whoever catches the baby at birth is the name that gets filled in. I have one daughter(I didn't deliver her). Being a fireman/paramedic I've delivered 13 babies in the field.

Teach, Learn, Share

Not sure about the teaching part but I would hope to learn something from everyone I come in contact with!! Free spirited souls who aren't afraid to stretch their boundaries, great people to rub elbows with!!
