ABOUT ME

I am a really down to earth and laid back person who loves people and what I do. I make it a point to never take life too seriuosly. I have had an understanding from a very young age that life is very short and we should make the most of it. That's why I'm traveling, just scraping by, and loving every single moment of it. I love life, I love people and I love traveling so that about covers it I suppose! I can hardly wait to meet and learn from so many amazing people world wide and then share all of those experiences with people when I move back to NY and can host!!

Live life spontaneously and strive to make a difference that opens peoples eyes to the connection between us all and the peace that we all could share. I try to spread the peace and love and knowledge that I have to offer with hope that people will pay it forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I don't have a couch to offer because I am backpacking through Europe over the next 2 months! However, when I do have a couch in NYC it will most certainly be available! I also plan on telling everyone I know about this wonderful site, how great to share wisdom with each other and offer up your couch if only for an evening. I think this is a wonderful thing and keeps me believing in the good in all people! I can't wait until I'll be able to help more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I can't really call it couch surfing because we had beds! But in most of the towns I toured through while performing with a Children's Theatre Company I stayed in people's homes that lived in the town. It was pretty amazing and I learned a lot from their stories. As far as actual couch surfing I have had the privelage of meeting amazing people while on the road and I have no doubt I will be in contact with them for a very long time! There is nothing I love more then the conversations that happen early in the morning or late at night when everything has quieted down and you can really listen and learn, people have so many beautiful things to share, what a blessing it is to be a part of those moments.

Interests

I am interested in theatre, dance, anything art based really and then I branch out into music and surfing and yoga. Those are top of the list. I'm interested in all things though really, you can learn so much from even the youngest of children. Why not learn as much as possible right!?!?

Music, Movies, and Books

This list would get way to long! All music, I'll listen to anything once although I lean towards more chill and laid back acoustic styles. Love foreign films, something about subtitles and being able to really study the persons face while they act, you notice different things in a movie when you can't understand what you're hearing. Books, I'm usually reading five at a time and at the moment it's all yoga related and meditation related mixed with French language books, sooo difficult! I do love a good suspense thriller though and of course I can never have too many plays to read!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving for my 18th birthday. I have always needed to be in control of things and there, in that moment right before I went tumbling into the sky, I realized that I had to trust this person I was strapped to. Had to trust the amazing things that cross my path and not constantly try and control them. And then the plane wasn't underneath me anymore, and I was flying. I have never felt more free and beautiful and peaceful. What an amazing world it is we live in!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share a fairly in depth knowledge of theatre, it's history and how it's being used to shape the world today. Mostly I hope to one day be able to share an open and warm environment where people feel relaxed, not judged, and peaceful. I can also teach just about anyone who is able how to surf, and everyone should try at least once! As far as what I hope to learn, at the moment the list is unending I'll take any new wisdom that comes my way.
