ABOUT ME

I like to think I'm an easy-going friendly gal. Hopefully most people would agree with me on that, at least on most days :-P Apparently I'm hard case, though I've not yet fully grasped the meaning of this term...apparently it has something to do with the fact that I agreed to send my vegetarian friend to the butcher's to pick up a food parcel, prior to her knowledge of the situation and before I was told it was simply potato salad...She does eat seafood though, so maybe that makes it a bit better (not that she minded at all)? Anyway, I love traveling and meeting new people and learning about other cultures, etc. I love, love, love to dance! Modern Jive is my favourite, though I've done a good bit of latin dancing and swing as well. I can be shy at times, but beware, if you get me talking, I may not shut up!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to make the most of what I've been given. I've been blessed with a mind that can understand science, so I study hard at Uni so that one day I can become a doctor and help people in medical need. I've been given a love of people, their cultures and languages, and of traveling, so I travel when I can, and when I can't I seek out those who are in a foreign land or have a different background and learn through them as we build a close friendship. I live my life to love people and to glorify my creator!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

With the craziness of traveling and exams etc since I've signed up, I've not yet been able to host, though I'm happy to give travel advice and hope to be able to host once I settle down once more. Aside from that, I try to meet new ppl via couchsurfing when I travel, and stay with those who will have me :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only recently joined couchsurfing, but have had amazing experiences so far! People are so friendly and it's great to meet people from around the world and from all walks of life!

Interests

Dancing, music, art, making things, reading fantasy books, good movies, good conversations, laughing, friends, beautiful landscapes, NEW ZEALAND, the World!, different cultures, learning new languages...the list goes on!

Music, Movies, and Books

Such a wide variety and really depends on my mood at the time! Fav. books are definitely fantasy...movies could be comedy, action, chick flicks, disney/kids movies, and much more! Not a big horror fan... Music really depends on mood, listen to lots of styles...latin, african, country, contemp christian which includes rock, rap and more

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I came to New Zealand and am living here for a year! There are too many things I've seen and done here that are sooo incredible that I can't list them all! And I still have much time here :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

Love people, all people, even if they annoy you or don't love you back...chances are, just showing them some love is all they need to be able to love back...and chances are, if you don't love them, they'll never love you...so why not just take the chance and love them...see what happens! It feels good to be loved!

I want to learn all about other people, whether from different cultures, different backgrounds, different walks of life, whatever, I want to know people...the better you know someone, the more you understand them and the better you're able to love them and care about them as a person, and not someone from some group of stereotyped people...SO, if you want to share your culture, your lifestyle, whatever, with me, I would love to learn. And if you speak a language other than English, I want to learn! I've picked up many random bits of diff languages this way...it's fun! :-)
