ABOUT ME

I and my sweetie spend our time working mostly on environmental campaigns and public interest issues. She runs Environment Minnesota, and I run citizen outreach for a bunch of different groups. We're both taking leaves of absence and doing voter registration work through the election.

We like to ride bikes, cook good veggie food, read books, travel together, and in general do good things with good people.

PHILOSOPHY

Polite, earnest, adventurous behavior generally will do you well. Expect the best in others. Have a plan but be open to change.

I'm way in to activism, though I'm mostly centered on work that will help pass progressive legislation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couch surfed through this site, but I spend a lot of time on a lot of floors and in foreign places through my work. My couch surfing has varied from sleeping on a floor in a living room under a sweatshirt for a week in FL to staying next to a fire pit in a fella's living room in DC on his sheepskin couches.

Helped pass the global warming solutions act of 2006 in California, which will cut global warming pollution in CA by 80% by 2050, which is what scientists say we need to do to avert the worst impacts of global warming. First bill of its kind in the nation.
