About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently recruiting for my vessel. The Dragonfly Pinky Toe. Looking for able bodied (and minded) faeries, elves, wizards, dragons etc.. preferably with ninja and/or pirate skills and experience. Jedi's OK, Trolls must have references.

ABOUT ME

A sub-appropriate, generous and smelly dimple havin' mutha ucka. At least according to my friends, and not in that particular order. The epitome and the exception. I keep an aliens' brain in my pocket, and a macadamia nut.
I live to go see live shows.
I reserve the right to chew on feet... Yours or my own. I'll admit it and learn from the expeirience.

I am a musician, playing drums acoustic or electronic and assorted electronic gismos like samplers and loop pedals, I create music with my mouth, samples and drums. Hear some @ www.myspace.com/captngalexc

I am an artisan and work part time selling hand made goods at festivals all over the North West.

You'll likely see me wearing something I have made.

PHILOSOPHY

Its more about the journey, and less about the destination.

If your looking for poop, you'll always find it. We all make it after all, yet if you look, all food grows from manure. So, maybe there is more to this whole thing and it really is about attitude.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Until, I get squared away enough to have a couch to offer, I am a floating Captain. The best I can do is to be the kind of human I would like to see in the world. Respect and love, because the only thing I really control anywayz is my smiles and cries. So here I am to share as many of the former as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

@ age eighteen I traveled around the United States with Drum and Bugle corps for three months. Stayed in many places, so many I forget alot of the names... The States include: Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Colorodo, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnissota, Kansas, Missouri, Illinios, Indiana, Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania.

A little later I traveled around on my thumb in the north west, going to various festivals, staying where I could to and from...

After that was my Hawaii experience, WWOOFing and staying where I could...

All of this before I knew anything about this site...
Seems I'm already a seasoned vet though. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchike/ride share/rode the bus/train/ferry to burning man this year with a drumset made of buckets, about a sixty pounds of drumset.

Saw Les Claypool three times in a week.

Won the first race I ever ran in my life, its why I'm here.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Drums, mouth music, welding and Augery
When a bird or a dragonfly talks to you, listen; its bound to change your life.

Learn: More music theory, productions, fire proformance and appreciation for the fractal.

Share: Weld it, tune drums, I've been called an ox by friends when I've helped with productions. I'm always cool with dishes and like I hinted at down for helping move big stuff. My dad always said, "you've got a chest cavity built like a whiskey barrel".
