ABOUT ME

Nick: I am an extroverted guy who loves meeting new people and exploring every aspect of this awesome world we live in. I love connecting with people from ALL walks of life.

I currently doing 5th year medicine but am into politics, sport, science, arts, music, economics... etc. Pretty much you name it I am up for a yarn and a laugh about it. I love being with mature people who can grow and change my understanding and help me find truth. I know my worldview is simply tiny and probably largely wrong :p, and can't wait to have it moulded by you guys.

I alsolove playing cards, sport, games, guitar, violin, singing.... pretty much up for anything as well (see my interests :P)

This couchsurfing thing is more out of my comfort zone than Tessas, and I am nervous about living with people I don't know whether at home or not, but I am sure you will put me at ease

I love to get to know and understand different types of people who have different ways of seeing the world... and different ways of living!

I would describe myself as a very-friendly-introvert who loves meaty discussions and random banter as well as solo walks in mountains :)

This will be my fourth year of studying international politics. In this awesome discipline we discuss questions like should we have states, is and how can we stop the spread of nukes. Epic. I love it.

Also enjoy painting and MUSIC, running, any games, and converting people to vegetarianism, : )

PHILOSOPHY

We are followers of Jesus, who we believe shows us the best way to live. We rejoice in our lives and our world as a beautiful and inspiring place which is so, so good.

Disclaimer: In case you were wondering or scared :p are not bible bashers or closed minded christians or anything like that so don't worry :p. We just want to love and share life with anyone, no strings attached :)

We enjoy hanging out with anyone and everyone, Happy and sad, rich and poor. We really want to be less and less selfish (I'm sure you all appreciate this is a difficult task lol...) and serve others with our lives. Hopefully couchsurfing will help us out with this :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We joined as we have planned a 3 month medical elective in Uganda, with one month of travel afterwards. We came across this community and were instantly attracted to the apparent adventure of couchsurfing. We are keen to stretch our of our comfort zones and see things more how they really are in the places we go.

Also, we really want to show people some southern love (trust me, your missing out if you haven't met Kiwis :p)

Next year we are looking forward to hosting people when we come home as our friends who are hooked up in this just love it and we want to be squeezed further out of our comfort zone and into the global society...

"The Mish": (We bike through town pick up leftover food from cafes and take it in to our local mission who distibute it to the homeless. Such an awesome thing...)

Dumpster Diving: ("Aquiring" supermarket food from dumpsters that has been wastefully thrown out and passing on our food savings to people who need the money way more than we do.)
