ABOUT ME

Musician and writer from Boston MA, USA. Currently hanging out in Denmark for a year, attending KU.

I play guitar, saxophones, clarinet, drums, banjo, ukulele, and anything else I can find, record + perform solo under the name "Boy Without God," and have toured/played with bands like The Abraham Lincoln Brigade, Eli Paperboy Reed & the True Loves, Violence Jazz/Catholic Skin, The Tiny Tornadoes, and Drug Rug.

I used to run the Boston Jazz Composers Collective, and last summer I ran a anonymous mix CD exchange and started a mobile, outdoor concert series called field trip.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new here, but during my stay in Copenhagen I'd like to explore as much of the neighboring areas as possible, and that is where you come in, my friend.

I live in a Kollegium (student apartment) here with three others and aside from the fact that we don't even own a couch, I don't know how enthusiastic they would be about letting folks stay here. I've hosted many bands back in the US though, and when I get back to living there I'll certainly be ready to give back and host many folks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

as a travelling musician I've been doing this on my own on and off for a few years, and having been the one on the couch so frequently I really take pleasure in being able to host others and give them food, drinks. Traveling gets exhausting and it's good to feel like you're coming into a warm home.
As opposed to, for example, the house in DC where there were dishes put away in the cabinets WITH FOOD STILL IN THEM. Said food had now decayed to the point where you couldn't even tell what it used to be. oof.

I love walking, good vegetarian food (i also make meat exceptions to try things that are important local food. experience comes first.), playing and listening to many kinds of music, boats that look like sea monsters, dance parties under highways, good books, any kind of weird art, and whiskey.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In just about a year of time, i spent 17 weeks on tour and saw nearly every city in the USA. Not so unique I suppose, but it was pretty great. It's such an enormous country that you can live in it for 20 years with barely any sense of the shape or feel of it.
