Born and raised in Bombay. Lived in the United Kingdom and United States for a few years. Back in India because I missed the chaos and to investigate if there is a fortune at the bottom of the pyramid.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was introduced to the phenomenon of CSing when a friend of mine in Chicago would host upto 5 CSers at a time converting her tiny apartment into a non-political UN conference.

Hosted surfers in Chicago, Kerala and Delhi.

Surfed in Cincinnati, Bangalore, Washington D.C., St. Louis, Hyderabad, Paris

兴趣

I love inane trivia - Who is the only actor to have acted in Godfather 1, Godfather 2, The Deer Hunter and Dog Day Afternoon? He promptly died after acting in these movies.

We have three labradors bounding about, all three are different colors so it's like watching an endless technicolor cartoon.

I seek food adventures everywhere I go, I will go to insane lengths to find the perfect hamburger and beer.

Took 18 months off work
21 days trekking in the Himalayas.
Experienced an earthquake at the foothills of Nanda Devi (nobody was hurt)
Drove from Chicago to Washington DC and back over a long weekend in a beatup Pontiac.
10 day Vipassana course where one is expected to abstain from any form of communication.
Took on food challenges in Chicago, losing miserably
Buying contraband shoes in Bombay in the 5:00 am market and ending up with Nike shoes with an Adidas sole
Started my own non-profit firm that focuses on Government accountability and transparency
28 day road trip from Bangalore - Sikkim - Bhutan - Nepal
Watching a sleeping seal on the beach drift off into the ocean in Pembrokeshire.
Ate locusts in Bangkok
Climbed Saint Victoire in Aix-en-provence at night

We can swap travel stories. I can keep talking about all the cities I've lived in. The ancient alleys of Delhi, the heaving crowds of Bombay, the jazz clubs of Chicago and cold cold Wales. I live and breathe books, I work in the mad world of publishing. So no shortage of stories there.
