ABOUT ME

If you meet me you can learn about me on a sincere level then. But if I had to give a hint I would say that I am a strong, open, optimistic individual with an occasional touch of sarcasm who loves to learn about, engage, and analyze the world around me in order to make active change and adequate perceptions.

PHILOSOPHY

We survive only because we have each other to thank for it, good or bad, glorious or vile, therefore we must work to enrich the beauty, safety and preciousness in all lives, those seen and unseen, touched and untouched, we are a community of life, living for one another.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sorry, but I am not participating very often these days and I am too busy at current to host very often so please do not be offended if I do not respond to the substantial list of requests, however, I do truly love this project.
-meeting new people at events and on the website
- hosting and helping if i can
-being hosted while traveling
- being a member of groups and organizations
- spreading love, energy and caring to those I meet

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my couch surfing experiences took place at the age of 19-20 when I was in Up With People (an experiential learning program combining international travel, the arts, culture, community service and host family based living). I have stayed on couches in over 9 different countries and in over 90 different host families. The lessons I learned and the principles I developed during this time were invaluable to my overall growth and understanding of the world and my place within it, as well as my passion for culture, travel, art, world politics, and human behavior. I have sustained my passion for travel through college internships and professional teaching positions that link me into an international web of human connections and friendships that I deeply respect. I value each couch I have stayed on in ways far deeper than the plushness of the sofa cushions. I don't think any one experience stands out as the favorite one. Bits and pieces of each encounter stand out differently in my mind at different times such as a palate of glitter will shine when varying shades of light are casted on it.
