ABOUT ME

Let's see... I'm just under 5'0 tall, I have bright orange hair, don't drink, love coffee and snacks, love to meet new people, travel and listen. I really care for the Performing Arts Theatre, Opera, Punk music and 50's 60's do-op and rock, making art, reading and writing.
I'm a Senior and full-time student at California State University Los Angeles for fashion design. I'm the Secretary of the club there called Fashion Association of Design Students. In 2009, I started a small company called JadeMadeCouture, where I do alterations, modifications and revamping of clothing, as well as create new garments from scratch and accessories. I'm also learning to work with metal and leather.

Last year I met the love of my life Jake Smith, who owns Ultra Violence, a small motorcycle shop in North Hollywood. Right now I'm building his website: www.jakeultraviolence.com.
Since I've met him, I've started my own small business and have been learning to ride a motorcycle that he customized for me. He has been the best thing that has ever happened to me and I'm extremely gracious to have him in my life.

I have future goals of starting a non-profit theatre company that helps children and teens as a counseling service through self-expression.

PHILOSOPHY

There is only one time that we're here on this earth. So why not do as much as you possibly can? Educate yourself and experience the world, this can never be taken away from you. When you feel like working your bum off all day every day to finally begin to catch onto things, then heck take in a nice movie or go shoot some pool to relax, whatever makes you happy. On the condition that you never harm yourself or others. Life is awesome and exactly what you make of it. I love it, the endless possibilities and opportunities that seemingly arise out of nowhere. One day making a garment for a client and in the evening being able to cuddle with my fiancee and our 3 cats.

I wouldn't change my experiences for the world as what doth not kill us makes us stronger.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Through sharing my experiences with others and listening to theirs. Sometimes just listening can allow a person to gain relief in its own. And I really want to help others with what I am able.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted my couch many times in the past and stayed on many the same. The most interesting was when I stayed in Bogota, Colombia in a squat with a bunch of different artists and musicians from around the world for a music festival called Bogotrax.
