About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the world in search of all people, cultures and crazy experiences!!!
ABOUT ME
I'm half American Half English but my Home is brussels and i'm told i speak with a severely messed up Americano, upperclass english and mild irish accent. I'm interested in everything and game to try anything at least once. The way i figure it the life we have now is all we're gonna get, so live life to it's fullest and never regret a thing.
I'm a higly extroverted individual. I like to get out and learn new things and keep pushing back the bounderies of my knowledge. We only have a small time on this planet, we are the priveledged owners of a brief spark of consciousness and I feel one must take absolute advantage of all the time we have, to build ourselves, our relations and our world. Learning the most you can about the world you live in and gaining the experiences along the way is a massive priority for me, especially right now when I have some free time!
I love to get out of my comfort-zone and try something, basically everything, that i might otherwise be afriad of. I feel there are no bad experiences just positive and negative outcomes, but every experience is a further step bridging yourself and to the world, whether happy or sad you need to try.
PHILOSOPHY
The life we hold is the most important thing we have to call our own nd it will always betoo short. Shit happens, deal with it, move on and remember Life is singularly the most amazing thing one can imagine! We should use our time to learn about ourselves and the world we live in. In doing so pursue our true goals and hopefully find happiness for ourselves and those we love!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
To participate in the CS2 project I don't really know of anything radical, Guess I'd just put back the efforts that i'm shown on my own journey. Then when I get back to have couchsurfers come enjoy spnding time at my place, wherever that might be.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I haven't had a strict, CS project couchsurfing experience, but in my travels thus far I've been more than happy to take a place on a couch or floor at a friend's or aqcuiantance's place. Really so long as I'm inside not being rained on and can pass out somewhere I'll be ok and anything better is super sweet!
My best couchsurfing experience? Thailand!! Met some of the coolest thai people on the beach a couple days after the full-moon beach party on Koh Phangnan and then they invited us to their place in Bangkok to chillout, party and jsut showed us around bangkok for a whole week, just because they liked us so much. Even gave me a surprise birthday night, was AWESOME!!! Still in touch with them and when I can I'd love to have them come to where I live and take them around like they did for me and my mate.
Interests
Music, listening and dancing, Like every genre, as long as it's good music it don't matter who made it. You feel it , yes, then it's good and don't listen to what other people say bout your opinion.
Sports/Dance: I enjoy team and solo games, e.g. I loke playing football/soccer, but then I really love squash.
Though my main exercise I like to get into is breakdancing, it's just great to express what music makes you feel and love the power and athletic grace intuned in breaking. So fast, fun and funky the best fun you can have listening to the music you love.
Playing all kinds of puzzles! love finding pattens in things and figuring things thing out, moreover, puzzles are mental challenges and over-coming the challenge that's where the fun is.
Being geeky and reading up on new scientific discoveries based on anything whether, biology, chemsitry, physics. I like looking to the future, that's where we're all going after all!
Travelling and different cultures! Obviously! I've generally travelled about most europe + eastern europe, and have been to the United States and East-Asia, (Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia). Basically, every summer holiday I would take all themoney I had and use it to visit friends on other coutries and check out the other-side of the world! The more I've travelled the more I realise there's so much more to see and experience and feel.

Movies: I like movies but don't spend too much of my time going to them. concerning hollywood movies I find the 2 hours can be spent having fun with mates or just anyting where you can use your mind.
That said, I spent a lot of time recently at the British Film festival and watch loads of awesome independent movies from all over the world. A recommendation: Ein Shams (Eye of the Sun), based in egypt, beautiful film.
Books, mostly I read scientific or contemporary magazines, basically to keep up with the science and what's going on in the world
Though favourite books recently read have been to do with adventure (The oddessy), drama (Almost everything by Shakespeare) and philosophy, (The Tao of Pooh who knew such a great philosopher was in such a simple being)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked for two weeks for a Giant sea Turtle conservation project on a Natural reserve on the island of Palau Redang, off the east coast off Malaysia.
We were completely cut off from the rest of the world, the only communication we had was with a boat that would drop supplies for three days at a time. We had nothing but an elevated platform with a roof to live in.
Every morning I would ake up and go swimming in the bay where there were the most amazing and beutiful corals anyone is likley to see, and the water full of beautiful colourful fish and sea-life.
During the day, our jo was to scare away predators from turtle nests and scare away tourists from the island so the Turtles would come to the island and lay their eggs.
At night watch the turtles come onto land and lay their eggs, then mark the nests to protect them, rest of the time, play cards when the tropical rains came, otherwise, chill on the gorgeous beach, play beach football and go trekking into the island's jungle!
Best time of my life!!..............So far!!
We shall see what the future has in store!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to express my passion for science and how incredible love and life are. This then allows to understand how and why we are the way we are and how things around us work. I studied biology and chemistry and medicines for most of my life and love sharing the understadning of how things work, and how this knowledge can be used to advance ourselves.
Something I'd like to learn: Photography! I wne through a period of taking insane numbers of pictures, but never really looked into the technique to maximise the potential i see in many pictures.
