About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Find balance...in many different forms.
ABOUT ME
I think the ugliest thing in the world is what people can do to each other...but the most beautiful thing in the world is what people can do FOR each other.
I learn more about myself and life by interacting with interesting people and by doing things for them at least in some small way.
PHILOSOPHY
Keep learning.
Balance between serious and light hearted fun.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love positive interaction and learning from others.
I like to get coffee with locals at their favorite places and get to know their city through their eyes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The idea behind couch-surfing is pretty much how I've traveled. I go from place to place visiting my friends and getting to see a little bit of their lives. I like going to new places but I tend to waste time without a little guidance. So I started only going places where I knew someone that was a local. That way I could get an idea of what a place is really like.
Interests
Rock climbing, slacklining, riding unicycles, reading and drinking coffee.
I want to learn how to paint and how to play the piano.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any documentary - or David Lynch. I also like Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Amelie, The Future is Unwritten, Man on Wire, and the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus.
I like non-fiction reading but think everyone should read Papillon (about Henri Charriere), and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. For a new perspective on life, read Solitary Fitness by Bronson...or The Gift of Pain by Brand.
Music is a long list that would start with Black Flag and the Misfits, Rollins Band, Billy Bragg, Beastie Boys, Birthday Party, Bjork, Sabbath, Dylan, Cat Stevens, Clash, Cypress Hill, David Bowie, Dead Prez, Depeche Mode, Elton John, Eminem, Faction, Flogging Molly, Gas Huffer, Iggy Pop, Immortal Technique, Jonathan Richman, Joy Division, Manu Chao, Mark Lanegan, Minor Threat, Mudhoney, Nick Cave, Nirvana, Orishas, Pixies, Pogues, Portishead, Prince Myshkins, Psycho Realm, Rage Against the Machine, Real McKenzies, Roy Zimmerman, Smiths, Social D, Sonics, 411, Tenacious D, Thin Lizzy, X...are you still reading these!? Well, there are many more that I sing along to that are completely silly...more on that later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got lost in a jungle at night and had to make it back to the last house in sight in the dark...I was amazed to get out of that one. That night I learned that some spiders are as large as crabs, frogs look funny because they have no neck and that some people that graduated from the School of the Americas are really friendly!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can show you slacklining (like tight rope walking, but different). I can take you rock climbing, teach you how to ride a unicycle.
I want to get better at Spanish, learn French and live in places I can use these often. And how to tap dance maybe...and play piano...and paint.
I want to share feelings, emotions, great moments, time, comfortable silence, coffee and tea, hours reading different books at the same table, money I find on the floor, stories, opinions, good/bad/sad/life changing memories you and I have grown from.
Countries I’ve Visited
