ABOUT ME

I love traveling and meeting new people. When not traveling, I live in a remote part of Northern California. I originally thought that I would stay for a few years and then move somewhere else. Well, it hasn't happened, I fell in love with coastal California and continue to grow roots with no thoughts of leaving anytime soon.

My life is a pretty simple one. I live in a small cabin on an acre about two miles outside of Arcata. I love music and long hiking/backpacking trips (if you stay with me-- I have a ton of trail books for you to use if interested).

I try my best to save up for a big trip once a year. It's hard because I can't seem to keep myself from going to music festivals and other small trips--so it's great to have visitors who can share their stories and experiences to tie me over until I can get there myself.

PHILOSOPHY

I live a simple life but have big ideas. I moved to the Arcata area so that I could enjoy and participate within a politically, socially, and environmentally powerful community. My food comes from the farm around the corner, I work two miles from my door, and I am not impressed with needless gadgets or designer labels.

The area that I live in is very special and I really enjoy sharing it with others-- I also love to travel so hope to stay on your couch one day... Or meet you for coffee or a beer sometime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've only hosted but my boyfriend and I are currently on an around the world trip where we hope to meet many of the wonderful hosts in the Couchsurfing global community!
