About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Before I settle down, I want to see more of the world... and all the crazy people!

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Raleigh, but my parents roadtripped us all over North America.
I love meeting people, sharing customs and experiences, seeing new sights.
In my spare time, I like building fast cars! though they usually blow up.

PHILOSOPHY

Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have a couch. I don't have a house! I'm doing contract work in Iraq right now, and I'll buy a house next year. But once I'm back in Raleigh permanently, I'm opening a bar downtown. Stop on by!

Interests

Life is all about people. People breathe life into me.
Life is also about stuff though. I like building stuff. More than that: I like to take stuff apart, then put it back together even better than before.
I like auto racing - amateur or pro, dirt or pavement, participant or spectator, whatever. I've even enjoyed taking my Subaru wagon off-road. I also like hiking, movie-watching, running, and drinking.
I wish I didn't have to sleep, so I could play all day and all night.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like movies that are more substantial than a TV sitcom. Seriously, anything from 60s musicals to old westerns to STOOpid perverse comedies.
Music makes life delightful. I mostly listen to stuff that nobody likes anymore.
I don't read as much as I used to, I don't make the time...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping out of an airplane at 13,000 ft is unreal.
Your whole being knows that you are about to die.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a good bit about cars, mostly VWs.
What can you teach me about cooking?

Countries I’ve Visited

Djibouti, Iraq, Netherlands, South Korea, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
