ABOUT ME

Currently I live, breathe, and walk. I'm totally amazed at pretty much everything. Reincarnation for me stopped about 1,000 years ago, which means pretty much everything modern seems fascinating. My favorite expression is "huh" or "huh?" or "huh, what do you think about that thing?" Quite low-brow, but that's what I can expound about currently. Another factoid that I am comfortable with: it's ok to be neurotic, ok?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Absolute zero other than becoming quite emotionally moved after reading a newspaper article. Daily news rags are rarely better than bird cage liners. I am prepping for an India trip. Just happenstance that I picked up the paper and cruised the travel section. Voila. Kismet.

Oy vey. If it's human-muscle powered I love it. If it's fully-leaded-hydrocarbon-powered on two wheels going Moto GP-fast, I love it. Wandering around. Seeking exquisite experiences. Jumping around like crazy and getting freaky excited. Partying with friends at outdoor beer gardens.

Musica, film e libri

Movies: Horror, Samurai, Foreign (since I live in the US, go figure...). Music: Flipper still rules. OK? Gogol Bordello. TooL. Heavy Metal. Music that makes me calm. Gypsy Buddha bar down-beat house techo break-beats (got that?). Books: adventure tales, mountain literature; Buddhist, Hindu thought; environmental change, tipping points. New, unexpected stuff that people introduce to me.

Trite: Waaaaay too many to mention before I run out the door to see yet another amazing sight the universe offers. But I extract some spices: Climbing Yosemite, cresting another ledge, seeing another 300 feet of sheer granite - 1000 feet up, 1000 feet to go. Canyoning through high Sierra mountain river gorge, jumping 65 feet into black/emerald-green pools that you take on faith from above (that the drop-zone is clear this year!). Standing in warm condensing clouds turning into pink, freshly-spun cotton candy while all sound is vacuumed out. Meeting Paris Hilton, in person, and having her giggle at our conversation.

Yes, I whole-heartedly agrees to teach, learn, share. What else is there that separates humans from the rest of the animal kingdom? Oh, wait. The "rest" do that too. So humanity should follow suit.
