One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to the Dominican Republic. I went to a resort but took out four wheelers to the villages and saw a very poverty stricken place. The children were beautiful. I mostly saw Haitian Immigrants and their babies who didn't have clothes to wear. My heart broke for them. They all thought if they touched an American they would have future wealth. I've always wanted to go back some day and do something good. Maybe now, I'll have that chance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn more about other cultures and people from around the world. I have always wanted to learn other languages and I need to speak it to keep it. I have a minor background in a tiny bit of Spanish and French from old friends whom I don't see or speak with on a regular basis anymore. When I was a child I lived near a Marina and I met people from other places and cultures...even some famous people. I'd love to get back to learning again and teaching my children so they have a rich and diverse experience of the world.
