To figure out which subway station exit I should use
Since I was tiny, my parents have taught me that "different people do things differently" - ie, be open and accepting of how people live their lives. This idea has been hugely important throughout my life, and it has fuelled my interest in seeing and learning about these different ways of living. From what you eat for dinner to what religion you follow, my personal philosophy is to be open-minded and interested in everything that people share with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've stayed with people through Couchsurfing in Hungary, Indonesia, Canada, and on the West Coast of the USA, and had lots of great experiences of meeting up with different people all over the world. Highlights include home cooked spring rolls in Java; a hilarious rainy camping trip to a hippie commune on Vancouver Island; and staying in a caravan in a driveway in suburban Portland.
Dancing, sunshine, walking, good food, good people, good drinks, good music, beauty, hilarity, teaching people things.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spending three months volunteering at a home and school for children with disabilities in Bangkok, Thailand. It was amazing to see these kids who have come from such hardship flourish, and to realise that kids will be kids, no matter what life throws at them.
Teach, Learn, Share
Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you, because the greatest secrets are hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don't believe in magic will never find it - Roald Dahl.
