About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make delicious Mexican food in Paraguay.

ABOUT ME

I think I'm writing too much in these boxes. A description of myself? I've looked the same since I was four and have never had short hair. Okay, but beyond the skin, I decided after I graduated college that I would do all the things I dreamt about. I quit day dreaming and began to turn things into action. I want to do so much more, but life is an ongoing adventure. I don't have anything tying me down, so I'm taking advantage of it.

I've been in Paraguay with the Peace Corps since February and am working with Urban Youth Development. (South America, el corazon del America).

PHILOSOPHY

To not just dream, but to do.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I farmstayed through Europe because I didn't have a couch to offer at the time and didn't understand how this worked. I do have a couch now, and if that doesn't work, pleeeease let's meet for a drink or something to eat.

Interests

Travel, photography, music, art, spanish and learning other languages. Losing myself in a book or film. Enjoying the small things in life, good conversation, open minded people, love, expanding my mind, culture, making anything from pictures to food, Dance parties, rain, driving with windows down, singing in the shower, green tea, wasting time. Nutrition, social activism, kitty cats, bicycles, yoga, green living, Social justice, my profession, saving the world. Faith in change, faith in humanity. Living a life uncommon. Leaving 40 hours behind. Learning to live in the moment and be like the lilies of the field.

Music, Movies, and Books

My least favorite question.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiking completely spur of the moment with my English friend I had only known for a week. We went to a rainbow festival from France to Spain and back.

I backpacked in Europe for six months by myself- but stayed in Spain for three and taught English. I farmstayed for the other three months to work my way through Europe, I thought living out of a backpack was pretty insane, but the friends I met and stayed with during my travels were some of the most incredible experiences I ever had. I can't even write a summary for it that would give it justice. That's going to be a book.

Living in Biloxi for Americorps. One of the best times of my life.

New York City- Strawberry Fields on John Lennon's birthday. Lady Liberty at night from the Staten Island Ferry. Jumping trains on the Subway in between stops.

I don't know, too many things.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can practice English or Spanish and share each others favorite films or dishes. I feel like I don't have a lot to offer, but I'm up for learning anything. We can make all kinds of food and I'll make you some mad Tortilla soup. I have plenty of stories to tell. I'll share what I have. We will certainly have a good time.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Cayman Islands, Chile, France, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
