About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I have found in my travels, that good people can be found just about anywhere on the planet. I want to meet as many of those people as possible.

ABOUT ME

I'm a single father and a soldier. I spent four years in the army and two years in the reserves. I have lived all over the world and I meet cool people everywhere I go. I enjoy new experiences, and exploring new places. My favorite thing about traveling is connecting with people. I wear my heart on my sleeve and I'm quick to make friends. Friends are very important to me. I treat my friends like I would family.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm old fashioned in a lot of ways and I try to show as much respect for other people as humanly possible. I live my life knowing that something crazy is waiting for me right around the corner. Life never fails to surprise me and that's what gets me up in the morning. If I died tommorow I wouldn't feel like God has cheated me out of anything. I feel very fortunate to be alive and every day is a gift.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch is probably available just shoot me an e-mail and we'll go from there. If you happen to be passing through Atlanta and you need someone to show you around, I'm your guy. Atl is my city and I love it dearly.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got kicked out of my house at 17 and I made my way from Georgia to Texas. It was there that I met my best friend Doug. Doug and his mom took me in and let me crash on their couch for like a year. They treated me like family and we all became really close. I met a lot of people during my time there and they are now lifelong friends of mine. Then I joined the army and really started to travel. Everywhere I went I met the coolest, most down to earth people. I slept on many a couch and broke bread with many different people. I know that even more good times lay ahead.

Interests

music, old Cadillacs, old guitars, stencil graffiti, helping people in need, and I'm an active member of NORML.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tim Sandlin is my favorite author. I also enjoy Hunter Thompson. As for movies, here goes: Fast Times at Ridgemont High, The Big Lebowski, Used Cars, Caddy Shack, Donny Darko, The Jerk, The Three Amigos, The Onion Movie, American Movie, A Mighty Wind, Best of Show and lots more..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hate to sound cheesy but my son is the most amazing thing I've seen/done. I love my little boy to death, he's my little man and I'd do anything for him. Those of you with kids probably understand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can fix just about anything. Other than that, the only thing I can provide you is an insight to human nature.
