About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving the humanity??! OK, that was mine when I was 5...

ABOUT ME

I am an alien, I am a legal alien... I am a Frenchman in Santiago. OK, it may not sound as good as the original... Indeed Santiago is not NYC and I am not really an alien (although I wonder sometimes!). I came in Chile initially for 1 year to open the office for a Canadian pharma company... Almost 4 years I am here now and I am definitely still in love with LatAm... I believe that people are the soul of a country and I met so beautiful soul mates here...

PHILOSOPHY

Take small steps.
Even tiny steps
But often. Whenever possible
Regularly. Steadily
Success comes more often walking with measured steps than making giant strides...

Don't forget: we only have one life.
But if you go about it the right way, once is enough...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a beginner in this community and I hope to grow up quickly and become a reliable and constructive member!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My trip to San Francisco would be my first experience... hope I will be eager for a lot of future ones!!

Interests

Apart from my vaccines & bacterias, I am a a compulsive globe-trotter... I take advantage of every week-end, every time off to escape and know new landscapes, meet new people, culture and thoughts, tasting new flavours and meals... This planet has a lot to offer, so many places and people to discover... I am always anxious for knowing every corner!!

Music: Muse, Placebo, 30s to Mars, Noir Desir, Mylene Farmer, Kudai, Luke, U2, Benjamin Biolay, Aldebert, Amaral, Amy McDonald, Chambao, Charles Dube, Ivri Lider, Rita, Keren Ann, LOVG

Books: Ensemble c'est tout (and all Ana Gavalda's books), Les enfants de la liberte - Marc Levy, Cien años de soledad - Gabriel Garcia Márquez, La sombra del viento - Carlos Luis Zafón, Madre que estás en los cielos - Pablo Simonetti, Once minutos - Paulo Coelho

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reaching the peak of Villarica Volcano after 5h walking, looking at the spiting crater while gazing around Chilean and Argentinean landscapes... and thinking out loud "that is what I came for!!"

Teach, Learn, Share

Meeting other people is the best way to learn. Sharing new experiences helps you building your own identity and connecting to the community... I sporadically work as voluntary biology teacher at the University and I really love that (this is my vocation since I am going but always hated the competitive examination principle).

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, Chile, France, Germany
