ABOUT ME

Born and raised in Israel. Lived and worked in New York City. Retired in 2003 and moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Have always loved the outdoors. Now, retired, I am able to engage in my favorite activity - sailing, all year round. I Have always enjoyed meeting new people and making new friends.

Be kind to the people you meet on the way up. You will meet the same people on your way down.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate in Couchsurfing by inviting any couchsurfer visiting the Fort Lauderdale are to sail on my boat and experience first hand why Fort Lauderdale is known as the "Venice of the United States".

Skippered a 56' sailboat on a seven week cruise from New York to the Bay of Funday, Canada.

I am a certified American Sailing Association instructor. I have been teaching sailing as a volunteer since 1976. I welcome any couch surfer visiting Fort Lauderdale to email me at wassjy@yahoo.com to join me on a free daysail out of Port Everglades. I sail practically every day from mid October through the end of May.
