ABOUT ME

I'm a laid-back, open-minded, easy-going, spontaneity-loving Australian. I've never been good at small talk and like to skip ahead to the more interesting stuff; I have the tendency to act like I've known someone for years. I take the piss when I'm serious, and am serious when I'm taking the piss.

I'm insatiably curious about people: their ideas and passions; their values and beliefs; the way they live their lives. I travel for the brief but beautiful connections made between strangers.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life with an open mind and a full heart. Listen, learn, have fun, and do to others as you would have them do to you.

Spreading the gospel. If people tell me they're going traveling I urge them to join the community :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Without couchsurfing I wouldn't be the same person I am today. The people you meet and the experiences you have whilst couchsurfing are truly life-changing. After a few months back in home it's the friends you've made through couchsurfing who are easiest to remember.

Interessi

I enjoy getting off the beaten track and exploring, whether it's in the city or the wilderness.

Watching the world go by, experiencing life with the locals, and gauging a country's political situation by the conversations I have with taxi drivers are all things I love to do.

I also enjoy nature: hiking, camping, swimming, and hopefully one day some mountaineering too! I love sport, especially running, cycling, cricket, Australian rules football, and football football.

All things techno, Something for Kate, Paul Dempsey, COG, The xx, Kaytranada, Flume, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, This Town Needs Guns, Arctic Monkeys, Rage Against the Machine, Foals, Bloc Party, Radiohead, Interpol, etc, etc.

Uluru. If you ever find yourself in our beautiful country, move heaven and earth to get there. A roadtrip you'll never forget.

If you're African or latin, you're teaching me how to dance.

If you're interested (few are) I could talk until the cows come home about Australian politics.

It goes without saying that we will swap travel stories, tips, and future travel plans.
