About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to experience New York amongst the locals
ABOUT ME
I am a student at the University of Sydney and I am about to embark on my history honours thesis. At the moment, I am in South America on my summer break with my friends. I am the mother of the group and love cooking for them. I consider myself to be both a massive nerd in terms of studying, but I am not adverse to a party. As an ex-dancer, there is nothing I love more that getting up and dancing pretty much anywhere- in the living room, on the street and also in the more normal environment... at clubs.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy (even though I have never called it that) would be never do anything just because everyone else is doing it. Don´t feel that your opinions are less valid than anyone else's opinions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to participate in this project, because I am travelling to New York and desperately want to enjoy NYC with New Yorkers- my history project is actually on New Yorkers and their relationship with their public spaces, so it seems stupid not to see what New Yorkers have to say about it! Also, my family has always had international guests coming to stay at our house and I loved it as a kid- so I feel that I am merely extending this tradition!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I loved my couch-surfing experience in New York- my host could not have been better!

Music, Movies, and Books
Monsoon Wedding and Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility. Love all music- cuban music, hip-hop (De La Soul especially), samba bossa nova, rock. And for books... Austen's Persuasion, Green's The Quite American and Tom Jones (am currently reading it and loving every second!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just went down to the Torres del Paine national park in Patagonian Chile- it was the most amazing piece of nature ive ever seen- aqua lagoons like you could not even imagine. Best day ever and im not even a nature/trek sort of gal!
