Allowing the world to enter my space; whether it be by travelling or hosting other travellers. As a mother of a young daughter I try to set an example of how to explore and create a positive change in the world

So far I've inly hosted, or had surfers over for dinner, but I definitely want to include surfing myself in the years to come :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When wanderers meet, one wayfaring soul tends to recognize the other. That usually triggers good conversation and fun moments. Each and one of the people I've met through this site has enriched my day!

Music was my first love, and it will be my last...I'm a firm believer in music as a universal icebreaker, and wherever I go I enjoy singing and sharing musical moments. Since I've never been mugged or harassed while singing, I see it as a protective measure as well ;-) Connecting with people, regardless of age, gender or cultures, through art, social work, cooking, dancing, trekking; whatever sets the soul on fire! Needless to say, travelling is what expands and inspires my world. Perception is intentional!

Besides giving birth to my daughter Alba Luz, it will have to be working as a teacher/singer with streetkids in Colombia, while at the same time living the romance of my dreams in the amazing city of Cartagena de Indias.

I enjoy practising languages; english, spanish, french and german, and would like to pick up more along the way:-) As a spanish teacher & anthropologist I'm more than willing to share whatever I've learnt. I also make a decent bacalao-stew from my native island, and enjoy sharing recipes. Ask me about the northern lights, and I can trigger your curiousity!
