To come up with a current mission that won't make me look boring......

ABOUT ME

I'm an outdoorsy sort of person. I like Mountain Biking, the beach, sailing and snowboarding. My most recent adventure has been learning to paraglide. I'm fairly competitive in some situations. I'm quite tall. I eat fast. Most people would not describe me as graceful. I like music and play guitar. I am reliant on spell check (or someone to look over my shoulder and point out my mistakes). I require coffee for most daily functions. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

There are a lot of really fantastic things to be done in this world. I love to go out and learn to do new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm not sure at tis stage. Just starting out. I'm keen to meet people, at this stage I a unable to provide a bed because two of the people I live with are concerned about security.

I play guitar reasonably well and I sing quite badly. I play in a pop-rock band called the figures that gigs around brisbane occasionally.

I enjoy being smelly unwashed backpacker. So far I have mostly traveled around asia. My first foray into europe is due june this year.

I recently read Captain Correlli's Mandolin and Bird Without Wings. They were very good.

I love absurdist humour eg: Monty Python, The mighty Boosh,

My favourite television show is media watch. I think this is because it shares my distain for the alarmist 'current affairs' (and I use the term loosly) programs on australian TV.

Musically, I like guitar pop, rock and funk or reggae stuff.
Gomez, sufjan stevens, crowded house, red hot chilli peppers of the blood sugar sex magic / one hot minute era. If I'm ging out to see a band that I don't know I am most likely to enjoy offbeat reggae / funky stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the guard changing ceremony on the border of India and Pakistan. Thousands of people chanting and cheering for their country of choice. Apparently this happens everyday.
