About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find happiness, fulfillment, and value in living, and seek out and experience all of the pleasures and joys that life has to offer!

ABOUT ME

I like to think of myself as a laid-back and open-minded person. I enjoy traveling, trying different things and making new friends.

PHILOSOPHY

Take charge! Experience new things, and try to step beyond your imaginary limitations. You only live once, and you only regret the things you didn't do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by giving back what I receive. It's like karma, so when I meet awesome people and they're great with me, I want to keep spreading that warmth around!

Interests

I have a multitude of interests and they just keep growing the more I try new things! Of course, that's only natural, but it's hard to pinpoint certain elements. I'm interested in music, art and photography, baking, languages, theatre and (certain) sports.

If I was asked to get more particular then I would have to say I like all types of music. I really enjoy listening to tribal music and anything else calming, such as Buddha Bar. Art, photography and reading have been special to me since I was kid. Curling up with a good book and has always been a pleasure and a favourite pastime. Baking was another childhood fave. I love watching the expressions on peoples faces when they eat my desserts. I can only hope that they find it delicious. Coming down to the end of the list, theatre was a great way to meet new and interesting people, and same with sports. I'm not the most athletic one, but I do enjoy getting out on the field and running around. Or being on the piste waiting for "En garde, prez, allez!" (Forgive my spelling, I don't speak French).

I also like to spend my free time volunteering in my community. I figure that the community has given me so much, I should give something back to them.

But above all things, I enjoy making people happy. Myself as well, but it gives me great pleasure to see and have happiness around me.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love almost all types of music. I love tribal music from everywhere in the world.
I like movies that won't traumatize me, that are funny, and or make you think. I guess some of my favourites throughout my life have been "The Birdcage" and "The Matrix".
I absolutely love reading. Some of my favourite authors are O.R. Melling, Philip Pullman, and Margaret Atwood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some things that moved me were working in the fields in Northern British Columbia in Canada and working in the sugarcane fields in the Philippines. In both cases I was working outdoors, surrounded by hills and natural beauty. The tranquility of those moments was worth more to me than people will ever know.
