ABOUT ME

We're a family of six. We like our pets, filling our backyard with alpacas and cats (no cats in the house) and chickens and ducks.

Parents work out of the house and kids are students.

We have a cabin in Wisconsin that also has a couch!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

UPDATE 06/18/10: Discovered today that our email connection to the site had been lost over the winter so we missed a lot of requests. Hence, the bad percentage of responses. Sorry! I really do respond to requests if all is working well.

We started Couchsurfing during a trip to Ireland. I never really expected that anyone would want to surf with us in the Chicago suburbs but they have and it's been great! TAKE NOTE: Availability can sometimes be a challenge during summer weekends. If you can arrange to stop during the week, that's often better for us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most recently we were in Ireland and the couchsurfing we did was the best part of our trip. We enjoyed all of our hosts thoroughly.

Love Australian movies, gravitate towards British humor and don't watch TV. Voracious readers...Harry Potter, classics, non-fiction. Parents like folk music and are otherwise stuck in the '80s. Teens are more current.

Before kids, we used to take these amazing trips out west on our motorcycles. No itinerary, no hotels...we'd just ride and explore and sleep under the stars.
We homebirthed all of our children.
We homeschooled all of our children.
