ABOUT ME

I'm a human rights journalist in action. I have worked on varying projects with organizations like WITNESS, Journalists for Human Rights and Alternatives. I have also previously worked in Cairo, Egypt with Al-Shehab, a local NGO working in a Cairo slum where I co-directed a documentary on the lack of access to safe and sanitary drinking water.

I have also been part of an exchange group of Canadian, Beninese and Senegalese journalists through Canada World Youth, with which I reported on human rights issues for local media organizations in Quebec and Benin. I like to examine the relationship between media and human rights from a cross-cultural perspective. I am originally from Montreal, where I studied journalism at Concordia University.

I'm a hard worker. But, when I'm not working I love to do sports. My main passion in sports right now is Capoeira. It's so fun! (Even if I got kicked in the head doing Capoeira, I still think it is FANTASTIC :))

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I have had wonderful CS experiences in Brazil, Boston, Geneva and Copenhagen. I've also received my host from Boston in Ottawa in May and I hosted a CSer from Germany. I want to host and be hosted again! So, bring on the wonderful experiences and let's all try to make a difference in this world.
