Hi, my Chinese name is Jingfeng and English name is Wendy, because Wendy sounds like Windy and Windy is the meaning of my Chinese name. ;)
I finished my undergraduation in 2009 and obtain BA. Afterwards, I worked in a foreign company as a supervisor and mostly took charge of sales support team. This job offered me a bunch of travelling opportunies, which had broaden my horizon quite a bit. When I felt tried and not sufficiently challenging, I decided to continue my Master degree and later then I stayed in Sun Yat-sen University, my alma mater, to teach foreigners Chinese and Chinese students English till now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I became a member on CS in 2008 but seldom logged in due to the difficulty of network in China (But I know how to use goagent to browse oversea websites now). My students reminded me of CS while I was interviewing them about some issue, they strongly recommended me to find homestay here in order to make my trip to US much convenient and meaningful. Yes, I see that through the new image of CS and look forward to my vacation.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite musician is Beetles, Air supply, James Blunt, Jacob Mars, U2. In terms of the movies, I mainly like Sci-fi, such as the current one "Interstellar" and romance style, such as "he is not that into you\ love actually\ BJ diary", also Hollywood blockbusters are definite. As for books, I am recently reading "lean in\getting more\thinking, fast and slow", I don't have a specific range of selection, because I need to take 1.5hours metro to work, I have to read via Kindle to make use of time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attend Marathon: I had been training myself for half year for attending the Guangzhou Marathon, however I could only sign up the 10km one, I was still proud of myself for my perseverance.

Teach, Learn, Share

I leaned swimming at 27, it was so hard for me to overcome the fear of water as I was drowned before. With extra practices, I am eventually able to swim 25m.
I am a university language teacher, so I could teach Chinese, Cantonese and English.
I am accustomed to follow up the news. In my classes, I often share interesting, touching or thought-provoking news with my foreign students.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer cooking Chinese authentic cuisine and teaching Chinese language.
I am quite confident about my cooking skills only if I could buy the materials.
Besides, I am expertise in teaching Chinese and have been teaching foreigners Chinese in Sun Yat-sen University for 3 years.
In addition to that, I am willing to pay the rate I could afford and do cleaning for hosts.
