ABOUT ME

Michael Barry.

Having just finished medical studies in Edinburgh, I am now working in London. Working hard during the week and playing hard in my off time. That is the philosophy I live by, to a certain extent. Whether it is swimming in the sea after work, running for 10km to clear my mind and free my body, or partying with great people.

PHILOSOPHY

Why do I live my life? Everytime I see a beautiful view, like the old man of Hoy watching over the North sea, or Orkney against a pink sunset, or the lights of Hong Kong lighting up as the day darkens, or the sun splashing off the sea on an island off Kowloon, or the mist sinking over Beijing viewed from 150 feet high on Coal Hill, or frost covering the Meadows in Edinburgh at 7:30 in the morning: all these things make me want to live. I suppose I live for the beauty of the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed in Krakow with Maciej, and met up with Dominika. It was the best weekend I have had in a long time!

Excellent times all around!

Did some exchanges in Germany which were good, but got a proper bed rather than a couch!

I love music, have played and play in a couple of bands. Sing, guitar, synth, clarinet.
