Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Many years ago, I was introduced by an Argentino friend in Berlin. He sent me the link and told me that it is a great way to meet local while traveling.
I didn't sign up on that trip straight away, I did it 6 months later.
I'm glad that I did sign up eventually because throughout all these years, I've make great friends who I still keep in touch until today... It is in fact the best way to visit the country and understand the culture!
The world is round and I'm hoping to meet them again in other part of the world! I believe, we will meet again!
Have many hosting experiences who are not couch surfer, but friends and newly known dancing friends.
I used to travel alone to country where i had local friends. It was back in Aug 2004 to Taiwan (first trip)and then explored to Europe, where my first real couch surfing experience took place; i stayed with local who i do not know. It was excited and yet dangerous :)
I didn't accept all the offers and only choose those people that I'm comfortable with (usually someone who share the same passion as me).
I love the excitement of staying with the local because i can experience how's their life living in that city. I always eat local food, go to local market, hang out in the local place and chat with locals. I believe that's the way to understand the culture and lifestyle.
I host a lot while I'm in Singapore but sad to say that I work hard in Singapore and yet not very active here. But I'll still find time to attend CS meeting and bring my CS around the city :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
hmm... I always travel alone....to Australia, Middle East, Asia and Europe... many people thought that it is amazing for an asian girl :) But i know many CSers who did the same thing, so i guess is nothing amazing ;p
oh ya... I used to dance salsa 4-6 days a week and on average 4 hours per day for 1 year... everyone said I was crazy and amazing but I called it "passion"
