ABOUT ME

I am curious and I love to meet people from other cultures. In my opinion, knowing more about other peoples' lifestyle and language is a privilege.

Before I started traveling, I was more of a serious guy. Now that I have seen all the cultural richness of the peoples I have know, I always want to know more... am getting addicted to it! I think travelling (particularly when one gets the chance to make friends, not just sightseeing) turns out to be a great tool for self-discovery (the know-yourself stuff).

PHILOSOPHY

I would have liked to be Libanese to be as welcoming as those I met. I would like to be Brazilian, to be as friendly and happy as the ones I met. It is such a rich experience to get to know, truly, people from diferent cultures!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel to a foreign I tend to communicate with Csurfers looking for a place to stay and new people to meet. At other times, when I have my own accomodation, I just communicate with the local Csurfing community to get to make new friends. I really had great experiences through Csurfing. Had my first opportunity to host a Csurfer only recently, in Palestine, as I had my own place and enough room.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I Csurfed or had contacts with Csurfers in the Dominican Republic, Brazil and Bolivia. I really like the project.

Interests

I like to dance salsa, batchata, merengue, I like the beach and heat (of course), going out with friends, hiking, traveling, diving, learning new languages. One thing I don't like is the cold!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: "City of God" (Brazil), "Persepolis" (Iran), "Caramel" (Lebanon) . I generally enjoy jazz, arabic, brazilian and latino music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning arabic in the mountains in the north of Lebanon has been a great challenge but such a great experience!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I just had one host so far, although for a relatively long period. I tried to be as resourful as I could and make that person feel at home. I tried to invite my host to go out whenever I could. I really enjoyed the time we spent together.
