About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Keep exploring the strange adventure that is life.

ABOUT ME

Having Interrailed around Europe, lived in Barcelona, Spain (running a hostel), gone back to Sweden for a year and finally ended up living in Tbilisi, Georgia for another one, I find myself having been hitchhiking through Turkey, with my girlfriend Qris and my buddy Nate, for over a month. I have little to say about myself other than that I'm an open minded, often chippery neobum with a passion for and comical attitude towards life.

PHILOSOPHY

The only constant in any and all of my personal philosphies is that nothing is ultimate. Whatever I believe in, at any given time, I'm willing to rethink. If evidence doesn't fit the theory, the theory needs redoing.

At the moment I'm just looking to make some friends and figure out what the hell I'm doing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cannot offer a couch at the moment but, as soon as I get myself settled I will do whatever I can. In fact, I'm always looking to meet no people so, no matter what situation I'm in, I always appreciate some good company.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have none because I'm terrible at making a first step in contacting people but in my travels I've met a plethora of people who've all claimed that it's an amazing addition to any trip... so now I want to get in on the action, as it were.

Interests

I enjoy encountering other people. Specific intereests, I have many but I have a pretty laid-back attitude to life. Something in the lines of: can't we all just learn to get along?

Music, Movies, and Books

I do enjoy a good book, but I haven't been doing as much reading as I'd like. I just finished 'needle in the groove' by Jeff Noon. An interesting way of telling a story and worth a read if you have some time. As for films, I enjoy most films but examples of what I think constitutes a good movie would include Coffee and Cigarettes, Sympathy for Mister Vengence, Old Boy, Lady Vengence, Casablanca, Gigi (I'll be surprised if you've heard of this), singing in the Rain, Requiem for a Dream, The Science of Sleep and everything by Richard Linklater.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do a lot of musing on the subject of life and the nature of my existence. The only thing I can really offer is to share, with anyone who would listen, what I feel I've figured out thus far. Otherwise, an extra opinion is usually a good thig so - got a story? I've got an ear.
