ABOUT ME

Hey everybody,
my Name is Federico and I live in Muenster, Germany. I am about to finish college to become a spanish and P.E teacher for the high school level. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I spent the first 2 years of my life. After that we moved to Belluno, Italy where we stayed for three years. When I was 5 we moved to Muenster, Germany where I have lived ever since, except for the year 1999/2000. That year I spend my foreign exchange student year in Colorado, where I went to high school.
I speak german, english and spanisch fluent and italian on a beginner level. I love to meet new people and other cultures.I also love to travel all around the world.
I am a very open minded person who does not judge people by their looks or origin. By that I mean not to get caught up in prejudices but to get to know the people around me so that I can make my own opinion about them.
Ever since I was 7 I love to play Basketball. I have played ever since on various clubs, in my high school team in Colorado and I am still playing in a club in my home town, where we are trying to win the champioship of 2009 :). Wish us luck!!
After my college graduation in May I am going to make one of my dreams come true which is to travel all across the US. I am going to be there for almost 8 weeks and I will start in New York. I will further visit Boston, Philly, Washington D.C. Chicago, Minneapolis, Miami, Orlando, New Orleans, San Antionio, L.A. Las Vegas, San Francisco and San Diego. Of course I also am going to go to the Grand Canyon and other national parks that I have always heard of.
For the duration of this US trip I am looking for people who are kind enough to let me share some days in their homes with them. I think this will make my trip a lot more interesting and also more fun. Being with someone who knows the city you are visiting is not only good for a cheap place to stay.
I am not just looking for a place like that but for people who want to share their knowledge about their hometown and insights which you would never get as a usual turist.
Of course this will make my trip a lot more affordable (spending 8 weeks in hostels and motels can be very expensive) but that is not the only reason. Meeting people, sharing with them new experiences is the main reason.
I consider myself as easy to get along with. I have respect for other peoples opinions and I don´t think that I am always right.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After my summer trip to US I will move into my new place here in Muenster. Since I am going to start to work in the school I will have a bigger place with room for guests. When I have my appartment set up I will be very happy to welcome people to my home and my town. I believe that this site is very unique one and the only way to make this work is not only to take but also to give.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am very new to the couch surfing programm. I hope this way I will make a lot new friends and I will find people that are kind enough to share their places with me.

Interests

I love to get to know other cultures and to meet new people. As I also already said I am a huge fan of sports, especially basketball. I also like to go out to restaurants and to clubs to have a couple of drinks with friends.
Sometimes I meet with friends to play some poker but I do it on a very low level. No professional player :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music. From R n B to Hip Hop but also Rock, Blues, Jazz and even House or Club music. The variety is impotant!
As far a TV shows I love Lost, Prison Break and 24 :) Can´t wait for the season premiere of Lost and 24 this year!!
