I am from Dunedin, New Zealand. I have been teaching since Jan 2015, when I dragged my wife Amanda to Methven for a teaching job. Amanda (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/konam500) is working as a photographer for the Ashburton Gaurdian newspaper. Methven's a nice wee town. The nearby Mt Hutt ski field is a pretty cool spot too.

Someone once told me that I have the body of an over grown 2 year old. Personal philosophies are over rated.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I surfed couches all over Europe and now I am returning the favour.

I've surfed many times and hosted with my wife (then girlfriend) in NZ a few times. Surfing was fantastic. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful.

Intereses

I love watching bands play live. Especially ones I´ve never heard of. I also played in a couple of bands in my early uni years. Touring with them gave me the bug to travel more.

I love drinking coffee, trying all types of beer, and recently have become obsessed with abandoned buildings (something we have very few of in New Zealand).

I am a hobby sound engineer and used to work in a bar in Dunedin mixing bands and doing a bit of recording on the side.

Recently I've figured out why people enjoy running. It's a pretty old fashioned way of getting around.

Música, películas y libros

I´m no movie or book buff. Anything is worth watching until I don´t like it. Same with books I guess. I'm a slow reader.

Music however I know more about. Dunedin bands produce some amazing songs and throw the best parties. Come to New Zealand and see for yourself.

Get a car if your travelling in New Zealand. They are cheap and usually reliable. It´s the best way to see the hard to reach, out of it places that are so abundant here. Check out our stars on a cool clear night. Brain melting.
